ESG
Together, at Igne, we are not just building a business; we are shaping a future that we can all be proud of, a sustainable future that is just and prosperous for all.
At Igne Group Ltd, sustainability is more than a compliance exercise - it's a shared responsibility, embedded into how we work and why we exist. Guided by the principle that true sustainability means meeting the needs of the present without compromising future generations, we are committed to creating lasting value for our people, planet, and partners.
This belief shapes everything we do: from reducing emissions and supporting community development to promoting ethical business practices and improving operational resilience.
In 2024, we deepened our ESG journey by aligning to international frameworks, strengthening governance, and taking meaningful action.
Our 2024 ESG Report
Our second Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report provides a transparent, data-driven overview of our performance and progress throughout the calendar year ending 31 December 2024. It captures the results of our first double materiality assessment, formally confirms our Science-Based Targets (SBTi), and outlines our strategic roadmap towards a sustainable, Net Zero-aligned future.
The report covers all UK operations and follows an 'operational control' reporting boundary. It aligns with selected UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and prepares us for future Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.

Our ESG Priorities
Environmental
We recalculated our carbon baseline in 2024 to reflect structural changes, including the closure of high-emission premises and the opening of lower-carbon facilities. Our GHG reporting (Scopes 1 and 2) is independently verified and aligned to the GHG Protocol.
Highlights include:
SBTi-approved near-term targets: 42% reduction in Scopes 1 & 2 emissions by 2030
Fleet and plant modernisation: New Tier 5 rigs, expanded EV adoption (71% increase), and efficient dual-purpose assets
Circular economy: Expanded use of non-intrusive methods (GPR, CPT), PPE recycling, and waste reporting improvements underway
Emissions 2024 (UK):
Scope 1: 1,893 tCO₂e
Scope 2: 113 tCO₂e
Total: 2,006 tCO₂e
Social
We continue to put people at the heart of everything we do. 2024 saw improved safety metrics, expanded employee benefits, and investment in wellbeing, equality, and inclusion.
Key initiatives:
Health & safety: AFR of 8.7 – outperforming industry benchmark; improved near miss reporting to 29.07 per million hours
Wellbeing: Company-wide mental health initiatives, health cash plans, and aligned benefits across all sites
Equity & inclusion: 26% of managers are women, outperforming the industry average; Disability Confident Employer; Real Living Wage-accredited
We also continue to deliver measurable social value through our job creation, training, community engagement and environmental initiatives, aligned with the UK Government’s Social Value Model and the UN SDGs.
