Transport Coordinator
Igne is seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team, ideally based at the Chester-le-Street office. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination and management of our commercial fleet operations. This position may involve occasional travel to sites across the UK.
We are Igne Group Limited, a synergetic amalgamation of six companies, renowned within our respective fields, with over 350 years of combined experience. A one-stop-shop for pre- and post-construction services. Igne’s six service categories are: site investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, water wells, geothermal, and geo-environmental.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilise efficient, effective, techniques to coordinate the group fleet. Utilising industry best practice solutions.
- Assist in tracking fuel usage, maintenance costs, and other transport-related expenses to support financial planning and cost saving.
- Negotiate best deals for new vehicles, purchase, hire and leases.
- Oversee vehicle servicing schedules, MOTs, and general upkeep to ensure roadworthiness.
- Plan forward fleet needs and replacement cycles looking to drive best value.
- Ensure compliance for fleet and drivers to all legal and company policies
Person Specification
- Proven experience in coordinating commercial fleets and managing logistics is essential
- Previous experience in the Construction or Transport Industry
- Excellent communication, cultural understanding, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior management to meet transport needs
- Full UK driving licence

- Salary on offer is up to c£34,000 per annum depending on experience.
