Labourer / Assistant Driller

Igne is seeking an Assistant Driller to join the Specialist Drilling team in Presteigne, Wales, The successful candidate support the Lead Driller with the operation of drilling, construction and installation of water supply boreholes. This role would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and is able to work across the UK.  A full UK driving license is required to be considered for the role.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting and supporting in the drilling, construction, and installation of water supply boreholes
  • Transportation of drilling rig and specialist plant equipment
  • Assist with set up and operation of the drilling rig and specialist plant equipment
  • Maintain and carry out routine maintenance on equipment 


Person Specification:

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence licence (travel is a requirement)
  • Able to work within a high-pressured environment
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers and stay away from home as required. 

Desirable

  • CSCS card and hold a full driver licence (travel across the UK is required)
  • Experience of working within a construction related environment.
  • An awareness of general H&S regulations 

 

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary on offer is c£29,156 for a 44.5 hour week, plus overtime
  • 33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
